3 People Hospitalized in Butler County Auto Accident on County Road 448 near Poplar Bluff

BUTLER COUNTY, MO (September 29, 2025) – Friday afternoon, a disastrous single-vehicle crash on County Road 448 near Poplar Bluff injured three people.

The incident happened at around 2:40 p.m. on County Road 448, four miles west of Poplar Bluff.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a westbound 2015 Kia Optima veered off the roadway and crashed into a telephone pole.

Moreover, responders transported a 53-year-old female and a 51-year-old female passenger of the vehicle to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center with minor injuries. Then, a private conveyance transported a 19-year-old female to a hospital with minor injuries.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the Missouri State Highway Patrol continued investigating the crash.
