CHULA VISTA, CA (May 11, 2026) – Sunday morning, a disastrous traffic crash on Olympic Parkway and Santa Venetia Street injured three people.

The incident happened at around 1:58 a.m. on Olympic Parkway and Santa Venetia Street.

According to the Chula Vista Police Department, a white four-door sedan traveling at a high rate of speed ran a red light and struck a police car.

Moreover, responders transported the officer with non-life-threatening injuries and two occupants of the sedan with non-life-threatening injuries to a trauma center for treatment.

Furthermore, officers believe that impairment played a role in the crash.
