SANTA ANA, CA (May 4, 2025) – Saturday morning, a disastrous traffic crash on Sullivan Street and First Street injured a police officer.

The incident happened at around 12:30 a.m. on Sullivan Street and First Street, said a Santa Ana Police Department watch commander.

A police officer was treated and released from the hospital after the crash involving his patrol SUV and a civilian vehicle in Santa Ana, according to authorities.

The officer was the only person inside the SUV. The police said the civilian driver received treatment at the scene.

According to the watch commander, it remained unclear whether the officer had been involved in a pursuit before the collision.
