3 People Hospitalized in Lotawana Auto Accident on Missouri Highway 7 and Highway 50

LOTAWANA, MO (May 19, 2025) – Saturday afternoon, a disastrous two-vehicle crash on Missouri Highway 7 and Highway 50 injured three people.

The incident happened at around 3:25 p.m. on Missouri Highway 7 and Highway 50.

According to reports, a 2013 Lincoln MKZ failed to stop at a traffic control device and collided with a 2009 Chevrolet Impala that attempted to make a left-hand turn onto the westbound ramp.

Moreover, responders rushed an 18-year-old female to Centerpoint Hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Then, paramedics transported an 18-year-old girl and a 17-year-old to Lee’s Summit Medical Center with minor injuries.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
