3 People Hurt in Wintersburg Traffic Accident on Interstate 10 near Wintersburg Road

WINTERSBURG, AZ (April 30, 2026) – Monday night, a disastrous wrong-way crash on Interstate 10 near Wintersburg Road injured three people.

The incident happened at around 11:45 p.m. on Interstate 10 near Wintersburg Road.

According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, an eastbound vehicle traveling in the westbound lanes swerved to avoid a semi-truck but sideswiped another vehicle. Then, the force of the crash pushed the wrong-way driver to collide with the semi’s trailer.

Moreover, responders rushed the wrong-way driver to a hospital with life-threatening injuries. Also, officers said that two more drivers were transported to a hospital with unknown injuries.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the DPS continued investigating the crash.
