72-Year-Old Dolores Johnson Killed in Shocking Accident on Business Route 60 [Poplar Bluff, MO]

Poplar Bluff, MO (July 3, 2025) 72-year-old Dolores Johnson of Caseyville died and multiple others were hurt in a tragic accident on Business Route 60.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP), the frightening crash happened Tuesday afternoon at the intersection of Business Route 60 and Highway NN

Reports say that the two-vehicle collision resulted in the death of Caseyville and left several others seriously injured.

Authorities reported that a 17-year-old boy from Poplar Bluff drove a pickup truck and failed to yield. An SUV struck the pickup in the resulting crash.

Officials say that Johnson, a passenger in the SUV, died at the scene. EMS personnel pronounced her dead at the scene. The SUV’s driver, a 52-year-old Poplar Bluff woman, and two passengers — including a 32-year-old woman from Caseyville — suffered serious injuries. Emergency responders airlifted them to a hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.

The pickup truck’s passenger, a 17-year-old girl from Poplar Bluff, sustained minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital.
