Woman Seriously Injured in Maries County Crash; Donald Clampett Faces DWI Charges
Maries County, MO (June 16, 2025) — Donald Clampett of Maries County faces criminal charges after authorities said he caused a crash on Highway 133 while driving under the influence, leaving a woman seriously injured.
The crash happened around 8:20 p.m. on June 13 along the 14000 block of Highway 133. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 2020 Chevrolet Silverado traveled off the right side of the roadway, struck a culvert, and became airborne before coming to rest in a ditch.
Reports say that Clampett, 60, was identified as the driver of the pickup truck.
A female passenger suffered serious injuries in the crash and was transported to Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City for treatment.
Prosecutors charged Clampett with felony DWI resulting in serious physical injury and a misdemeanor count of careless and imprudent driving involving an accident. He was later released from the Maries County Jail after posting bond.
