Denver Police Arrest 61-Year-Old After Hit-and-Run That Injured Motorcyclist
Denver, CO (August 21, 2025) — Authorities arrested 61-year-old Donald Zisch in connection with a hit-and-run crash that seriously injured a motorcyclist in Denver earlier this month.
According to authorities, the incident happened around 10:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 14, at the intersection of 28th Street and Broadway Street.
Investigators said the motorcyclist sustained severe injuries after being struck.
Following the crash, police issued a Medina Alert around 2:15 a.m. on August 15, describing a gold 2007 Toyota Camry with noticeable passenger-side front-end damage. The alert remained active until August 16, when officers confirmed Zisch’s arrest.
Reports say that Zisch now faces charges under investigation, including vehicular assault and second-degree assault.
Do The Right Thing. Stay. Help. Take Responsibility.
A hit-and-run is not just a crime, but a devastating act of cowardice leaving victims injured, scared, and sometimes fighting for their lives. If you’re involved in a traffic accident, stop immediately. Call 911. Help those who are hurt.
Remember that fleeing the scene only worsens the situation and carries serious legal consequences, including felony charges. Victims deserve accountability and justice.
Hit-and-run crashes often leave victims in critical need of help. If you or a loved one are injured in such an accident, seek immediate medical care and contact local authorities. Stay safe and always remain at the scene of a collision.
What Should You Do When Injured in Hit-and-Run Collision?
If you are injured in a hit-and-run collision, your safety and health come first. Call 911 immediately to report the crash and request medical help. If you are able, try to remember and record any details about the fleeing vehicle—such as the make, model, color, or license plate number. Also, take photos of the scene, your injuries, and any vehicle damage. Gather contact information from any witnesses who saw the crash.
Once you’ve received medical attention, report the incident to the police and get a copy of the report for your records. Notify your insurance company about the hit-and-run as soon as possible; your policy may include uninsured motorist coverage that can help with medical costs and vehicle repairs.
Most importantly, hire Sweet Lawyers’ personal injury attorney. They can help investigate the incident, protect your rights, and work to get you compensation for your injuries, lost wages, and other damages.
