Ford Driver Douglas Hancock Jr Dies in Highway 21 Collision [Madison County, TX]

Injuries Reported in Deadly Crash near Oxford Cemetery

Madison County, TX (November 25, 2024)Douglas Hancock Jr., 25, of Leona, was killed in a Highway 21 collision Friday afternoon.

The fatal vehicle crash happened at 4:21 p.m. near the Oxford Cemetery.

According to the authorities, an eastbound 18-wheeler was approaching a work convoy on the other side of a Hillcrest when it began to stop. 

An eastbound Ford F350 driven by Douglas Hancock Jr rear-ended the 18-wheeler.

Sadly, Douglas Hancock Jr. was declared deceased at the scene.

The driver of the 18-wheeler sustained injuries. He was treated on-site and was released.

DPS is investigating this collision.
