BROWNSVILLE, TX (October 8, 2025) – Monday night, a DPS trooper was hospitalized after a startling 2-vehicle crash on Highway 4 and FM 511.

The incident involving two vehicles happened at around 6:30 p.m. on Highway 4 and FM 511.

A Texas Department of Public Safety trooper was taken to a local hospital following the crash but was released later that night, officials said.

DPS added that the occupants of the second vehicle were not hospitalized.
