Driver Airlifted in Highway 20 Head-On Crash [Nevada County, CA]

Nevada County, CA (June 27, 2025) – Three people were hurt in a Highway 20 head-on crash Thursday afternoon.

The vehicle collision happened around 3:30 p.m. near Rex Reservoir Road in Grass Valley.

Troopers said an eastbound vehicle crossed the double yellow lines and crashed head-on with an oncoming vehicle.

The drivers of both the vehicles and the only passenger in the vehicle that was hit sustained major injuries and were all hospitalized. One of the drivers was airlifted out to a Placer County hospital.

Officers are still investigating this multi-vehicle crash.
