Volkswagen Driver Dead in Hit-and-Run Crash on Florida Avenue [Hemet, CA]

Hemet, CA (February 19, 2026) – A Volkswagen driver was killed in a hit-and-run crash on Florida Avenue early Tuesday morning.

The deadly vehicle crash happened around 3 a.m. on Florida Avenue.

According to the authorities, a white Volkswagen was westbound on Florida Avenue and was trying to make a U-turn when it was hit by the silver Honda.

The rescuers found the Volkswagen driver unresponsive inside their vehicle. They transported them to an area hospital, where they later died.

Meanwhile, the Honda driver fled the scene on foot but was later found nearby.
