NAPA COUNTY, CA (October 13, 2022) – Wednesday morning, a driver died following a box truck crash on Silverado Trail near Oakville Cross Road.
 
The incident happened at around 11:42 a.m. at the 7800 block of the Silverado Trail, north of Oakville Cross Road.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, a Ford Ranger pickup rear-ended a box truck that slowed down to make a turn into a driveway.
 
Moreover, responders pronounced the Ford driver dead at the scene. Also, the box truck driver was not hurt in the collision.
 
Furthermore, the crash closed both directions of Silverado Trail between Oakville Cross Road and Skellenger Lane. All lanes have long since reopened.
 
Meanwhile, the fatal crash remained under active investigation.
