Troopers Search for Suspect Driver in Deadly Crash in Kansas City

Kansas City, MO (March 23, 2026) – A scooter driver was killed in a MLK Jr Boulevard hit-and-run crash Saturday morning.

The authorities responded past 2 a.m. to the deadly crash at the intersection with Eastwood Trafficway.

Investigators stated that a black TAO Motors scooter traveling southeast on MLK Jr. Boulevard turned left onto Eastwood Trafficway on a green light.

At the same time, a dark-colored vehicle traveling northwest on MLK Jr. Boulevard missed the red light and drove through the intersection.

The dark-colored vehicle struck the scooter, throwing the rider off the scooter.

Sadly, the scooter driver was killed at the crash scene, while the suspect driver fled the scene.
