Driver Transported Following Deadly Crash on First Capitol Drive [St. Charles, MO]

St. Charles, MO (November 27, 2024) – A driver was transported to a hospital following a deadly crash on First Capitol Drive.

The fatal vehicle crash happened around 11:30 a.m. at the southbound lanes of First Capitol Drive near the intersection with Pralle Lane.

Investigators said a 37-year-old Dardenne Prairie man was traveling north on First Capitol Drive when his vehicle crossed the roadway and drove into the southbound lanes.

Afterward, the wrong-way driver struck two vehicles, one of them was a head-on collision.

Immediately, the rescuers responded and rushed the wrong-way driver to a hospital where he later died. 

One of the two drivers involved declined medical attention at the scene, while the other driver was also transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Troopers are still investigating the wrong-way crash in St. Charles.
