Fatality Reported in Rancho Cordova Auto Accident on Highway 50 and Sun Center Drive

 
RANCHO CORDOVA, CA (September 6, 2022) – Monday morning, a driver and a dog died in a car crash on Highway 50 and Sun Center Drive.
 
The incident occurred just before 7:00 a.m. when a car crashed off the freeway. Then, it hit several trees until it stopped against a vacant building along the 10900 block of Sun Center Drive.
 
According to investigators, the vehicle traveled recklessly at a high rate of speed during the crash. Also, they consider drugs and/or alcohol as a factor in the crash.
 
After the crash, responders took two people in the car to the hospital. However, the 39-year-old male driver from Roseville succumbed to his injuries.
 
Meanwhile, a 47-year-old Oxnard man remained at the hospital with major injuries.
 
Furthermore, officers confirmed that they found a dog dead at the scene.
