WESTMINSTER, CO (August 12, 2025) – Friday afternoon, a crippling box truck crash on US 36 near Federal Boulevard injured 1.

The incident involving two box trucks happened at 2:36 p.m. at the eastbound lanes of US 36.

After the crash, one driver was transported to the hospital.

The Colorado State Patrol reported that lanes were shut down between Federal Boulevard and Pecos Street around 3:30 p.m.

CDOT cameras later showed that all lanes had reopened by 5 p.m. The Westminster Fire Department also responded to the scene.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
