Chevrolet Silverado Driver Hospitalized in La Cresta Road Fatal Crash [El Cajon, CA]

El Cajon, CA (September 11, 2026) – A 46-year-old El Cajon man was injured following a La Cresta Road fatal crash Sunday morning.

The fatal two-vehicle crash happened past midnight on September 6.

According to the investigators, 25-year-old man, also from El Cajon, was driving an eastbound Honda Accord on La Cresta Road. 

At the same time, the 46-year-old man was driving a westbound Chevrolet Silverado on the same road.

Police said the Honda driver crossed over to the westbound lane and collided head-on with the Silverado. 

The Honda’s driver was killed in the accident.

Moreover, the Silverado’s driver sustained major injuries and was taken to the hospital.

CHP said drugs and alcohol do not appear as factors in the deadly collision.
