Bus Driver and Passengers Injured in Collision on Ambaum Boulevard SW [Burien, WA]

Burien, WA (July 22, 2026) – A bus driver and passengers were injured following a traffic collision on Ambaum Boulevard SW early Monday.

It was just past 2 a.m. when a RapidRide H Line bus and another vehicle collided on SW 126th Street, near St. Bernadette Catholic Church.

Officers said the bus was driven north on Ambaum Blvd when an eastbound vehicle ran the stop sight at the intersection and was hit on its front-right corner.

As a result, the driver of that vehicle lost control, spun, and struck the bus.

The bus then went off the road and struck a tree.

The driver of the bus and its three passengers were rushed to Harborview Medical Center. Reports said the driver was treated for their leg and hand injuries.

Moreover, the King County Sheriff’s Office is conducting a further investigation into the accident.
