Pedestrian Injured in Daingerfield Hit-and-Run Crash

Daingerfield, TX (February 19, 2026) – John Dupriest Jr., 65, of Daingerfield, was killed in a Broadnax Street collision Tuesday night.

It was past 8 p.m. when the traffic collision happened at the intersection with Webb Street.

Responding officers determined that a man was hit while working on his disabled 18-wheeler that was parked off the roadway.

Immediately, the victim was transported to an area hospital.

The authorities later arrested Dupriest Jr. at his home.
