Police Investigate Fatal Crash on La Riviera Drive in Sacramento County
Sacramento County, CA (October 10, 2025) – One person died and two others were critically injured following a single-vehicle crash on La Riviera Drive on Thursday.
The incident occurred on the 8700 block of La Riviera Drive, just east of Watt Avenue, in front of multiple businesses.
When emergency crews arrived, they discovered an overturned vehicle in a parking lot with three people trapped inside.
Firefighters extricated two individuals from the vehicle and transported them to nearby hospitals with critical injuries.
Sadly, the driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities believe the driver was the victim who died in the crash.
No other vehicles were involved, and property damage was limited to the parking lot. It is currently unknown whether a medical emergency may have contributed to the crash.
The California Highway Patrol is actively investigating the incident.
