Driver Reyes Moreno Dead in I-37 Traffic Accident

Live Oak County Collision Kills San Antonio Man

Live Oak County, TX (July 10, 2026) – 71-year-old Reyes Moreno of San Antonio was fatally injured following an I-37 traffic accident Tuesday morning.

The authorities responded past 5 a.m. on July 7 to the fatal collision in Live Oak County.

Investigators said Moreno was walking on the inside lane of the highway when he was hit by an SUV.

The impact of the collision threw into the grassy median.

The SUV driver, a 38-year-old Three Rivers man, stopped and attempted to save Moreno, but he was declared dead at the crash scene.

Moreover, rescuers took the SUV driver to an area hospital for evaluation.

According to the authorities, Moreno had stopped his vehicle on the freeway, approximately a mile north from the crash scene.

Police believe the stopped vehicle resulted in a collision involving several vehicles.

In the meantime, DPS is investigating the fatal crash.
