Female Passenger Injured in Calexico Deadly Crash

Calexico, CA (April 11, 2026) – Two male drivers lost their lives following a SR 98 vehicle crash Thursday morning.

The fatal crash happened around 5:30 a.m. west of Mt. Signal Road.

According to the authorities, an eastbound car driven by a 34-year-old man crashed head-on with a westbound car driven by a 25-year-old man.

Sadly, both drivers were killed at the crash scene.

Moreover, a 34-year-old female passenger in the eastbound car, sustained major injuries. She was airlifted to Desert Regional Medical Center.

Police said the eastbound car’s driver and passenger were wearing their seatbelts, while the driver of the other car was not.

CHP is conducting a further investigation into the traffic crash.
