Tragic 2-vehicle Crash in Seattle Kills Both Drivers

Seattle, WA (April 15, 2026) – Two drivers lost their lives following a SR 509 wrong-way collision Sunday night.

The deadly two-vehicle crash occurred on the southbound lanes of the highway, south of Cloverdale Street.

Troopers said a wrong-way driver crashed head on with another vehicle.

Immediately, police responded to the scene and declared both drivers, a 21-year-old Kent man and a 71-year-old Seattle man, dead.

In the meantime, the authorities are conducting a further investigation to determine if DUI was a factor in the deadly crash.
