Utility Truck Driver Sustains Injuries in Collision Near Marsh Creek Road

Brentwood, CA (October 26, 2022) – On Tuesday, two drivers sustained injuries following a head-on crash on Vasco Road.

The traffic incident took place at about 2:34 p.m. near Marsh Creek Road.

CHP officer Donnie Thomas says a utility truck was southbound on Vasco Road when at the same time, a maroon sedan was northbound at a high rate of speed while passing vehicles.

“The sedan was passing vehicles and crossed the double yellow line before crashing head-on causing minor injuries to the driver of the utility pickup and major injuries to the driver of the maroon sedan,” said Thomas.

The paramedics airlifted the sedan driver to a hospital in critical condition while the truck driver was transported via ground ambulance with moderate injuries.

In the meantime, officers are investigating the collision near Marsh Creek Road.
