Police Investigate Crash on U.S Highway 136 in Putnam County

PUTNAM COUNTY, MO (July 30, 2026)— Two Unionville residents were injured Tuesday evening in a rear-end crash on U.S. Highway 136 in Putnam County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred at approximately 6:30 p.m. on U.S. Highway 136, about six miles east of Unionville.

Authorities said a 21-year-old woman was driving an SUV westbound when she slowed down. A pickup truck driven by a 23-year-old Unionville man then struck the rear of the SUV.

The woman sustained moderate injuries in the collision, while the pickup truck driver suffered minor injuries.

Emergency responders transported both drivers by ambulance to Putnam County Hospital in Unionville for medical treatment.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that both drivers were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.

The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
