DUI Arrest Made After Pedestrian Killed in San Marcos Collision
San Marcos, CA (December 15, 2025) — A pedestrian lost their life after a suspected DUI collision on San Marcos Boulevard that led to the arrest of the at fault driver.
According to authorities, the collision happened around 11:41 p.m. in the 900 block of West San Marcos Boulevard and involved a Ford F-150 and a pedestrian.
Deputies arrived to find the victim lying in the westbound lanes. Despite emergency medical efforts at the scene, the pedestrian was pronounced dead shortly before midnight.
Investigators said the driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with deputies. After the investigation, authorities determined the driver was under the influence of alcohol and took the individual into custody on a DUI charge.
The San Marcos Sheriff’s Station Traffic Unit continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
