SUNNYSIDE, WA (December 21, 2025) – Friday night, a tragic DUI crash on 29700 Yakima Valley Highway killed one person.

The incident happened at the 29700 block of Yakima Valley Highway.

According to reports, a westbound Ford F350 crossed the centerline and collided head-on with an eastbound Dodge Ram. Then, the Ford struck an eastbound Dodge Caravan.

Moreover, responders pronounced the 57-year-old female driver of the Caravan dead at the scene. Then, paramedics rushed the driver of the Dodge Ram to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.

Furthermore, officers arrested the 26-year-old male driver of the Ford on suspicion of driving under the influence.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the Sunnyside Police continued investigating the crash.
