HERMOSA BEACH, CA (January 14, 2026) – Monday night, a man sustained injuries in an alarming e-bike crash near 1800 Pacific Coast Highway.

The incident happened at around 7:00 p.m. near the 1800 block of Pacific Coast Highway.

Officers arrived to find a man in his 50s with serious injuries. He was taken to a nearby hospital and was last reported in serious condition. Police said the victim had been riding an e-bike on Pacific Coast Highway at the time of the crash.

Investigators determined the collision occurred when a driver swerved into the center lane to avoid stopped traffic and struck the e-bike rider.
