East End Avenue Multi-Vehicle Collision Sends Five to Hospital [Chino, CA]

Chino, CA (September 12, 2022) – On Tuesday, five people sustained injuries in an East End Avenue multi-vehicle collision.

The traffic collision happened at about 12:07 p.m. in the area of Riverside Drive which involved a BMW X5, a white Prius, a GMC Yukon, and a gray Prius.

“It seems to have been caused by a 40-year-old female driving an SUV that ran a red light and collided with the other vehicles,” CHP Rancho Cucamonga office spokesman Officer Stephen Rawls says. 

The officer says he did not have details on the identities, ages, and residences of the five people involved in the crash.

A witness, Diane Ochoa of Chino, says the woman driving the GMC Yukon on East End Avenue ran a red light at about 65 to 70 miles per hour and struck the three vehicles. 

“She struck the first vehicle, rolled over onto the next one, and then hit the third car,” Ochoa says. “The Yukon then rolled over twice and landed right side up.”
