Edgar Castillo Dies in Highway 101 Pedestrian Collision Near South California Street

 
VENTURA, CA (January 4, 2019) – A 24-year-old man lost his life Tuesday after being hit by a vehicle on the Highway 101 off-ramp at South California Street.
 
The crash happened around 3:30 a.m. on the northbound Highway 101 exit ramp. According to a CHP report, a car heading northbound on the ramp struck 24-year-old Edgar Castillo. The Ventura man was pronounced dead at the scene and the driver remained cooperative with investigators. Authorities confirmed that no arrests were made.
