41-Year-Old Edward Mears Hurt in Horrific Crash on Baltimore Street [Kirksville, MO]

Kirksville, MO (October 29, 2025) — On Monday afternoon, 41-year-old Edward Mears of Kirksville was hurt and hospitalized in a two-vehicle crash on Baltimore Street.

According to Kirksville Police, the collision happened around 3:15 p.m. at the intersection with Northtown Road in Kirksville.

Reports say that 84-year-old Sharon Draper of Queen City, was heading south on Baltimore Street and attempted to turn east onto Northtown Road. Her Ford Edge collided with a GMC Yukon driven Mears.

Draper’s vehicle was totaled in the crash, while Mears’ SUV was able to be driven away.

Authorities cited Draper for failure to yield. No one was transported to the hospital, and all injuries were reported as minor.
