El Metro Bus Crash on Matamoros Street Injures Passenger [Laredo, TX]

Laredo, TX (March 6, 2026) – Three people were injured following an El Metro bus crash on Matamoros Street Thursday.

Traffic officers said a El Metro bus and a pickup truck have collided on Convent Avenue.

Rescuers rushed to the scene and rushed the bus driver, a 54-year-old man, to Laredo Medical Center. The man complained of shoulder pain.

A 53-year-old female passenger incurred right leg and head pain. She was also rushed to Laredo Medical Center.

Moreover, the pickup truck, driver, a 16-year-old male, sustained head pain, shoulder pain and leg pain. Rescuers took him to Doctors Hospital.

Troopers advised drivers to seek alternative routes.
