Motorcyclist Hospitalized After Hit-And-Run Crash on Rigsby Avenue in San Antonio

San Antonio, TX (October 2025) – A 68‑year‑old man has been arrested after striking a motorcyclist and fleeing the scene in a crash on Rigsby Avenue on Friday evening, the San Antonio Police Department reported.

The crash occurred at about 5:00 p.m. near Rigsby Avenue and Bonair Drive. Police say the driver, operating a Buick, attempted a lane change and collided with a motorcycle, causing the rider to fall. Instead of remaining and rendering aid, the driver left the scene.

Witnesses recorded the vehicle’s license plate, which allowed officers to locate the Buick at the driver’s residence. Police contacted the homeowner, who was subsequently arrested in connection with the hit‑and‑run.

The motorcyclist was transported to a local hospital and listed in stable condition.
