PEORIA, AZ (February 16, 2026) – On Saturday, officers arrested Elian Gonzalez after an alarming DUI crash on Loop 101 near Olive Avenue.

The incident started when officers noticed an impaired driver near 83rd and Grand avenues who fled from authorities earlier that night.

According to reports, the suspect vehicle, traveling at a high rate of speed, struck a DPS trooper vehicle and rolled over multiple times.

Moreover, officers arrested the driver of the vehicle, identified as Elian Gonzalez, and a passenger on a warrant for probation violation and additional charges, including DUI, unlawful flight from law enforcement, endangerment, and drug sales.
