Richardson, TX (June 23, 2025) — 42-year-old Elvira Peralta Hernandez died after being struck by a pickup truck Saturday morning in Richardson, according to local authorities.

Police responded around 11:05 a.m. on June 20 to the 1400 block of West Spring Valley Road after receiving reports of an auto-pedestrian collision. Officers found Elvira Peralta Hernandez suffering from serious injuries.

Paramedics transported Hernandez to a nearby hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries.

Preliminary investigators determined that Hernandez was attempting to cross West Spring Valley Road outside a marked crosswalk when a westbound pickup truck struck her. The driver was not injured and remained at the scene following the collision.

The Richardson Police Department’s Special Crash Investigation Team continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the fatal crash. No charges have been announced.
