44-Year-Old Erich Raley-Vincent Killed in Pedestrian Accident on Interstate 80

Emeryville, CA (May 28, 2025) – 44-year-old Erich Raley-Vincent of Emeryville was killed in a tragic pedestrian accident on Interstate 80.

According to authorities, the tragic incident happened around 10:50 p.m. near the Powell Street off-ramp.

Reports say that the 44-year-old Emeryville man died Monday night after multiple vehicles struck him on Interstate 80.

The California Highway Patrol reported that Raley-Vincent crashed his BMW sedan into a concrete wall near the Powell Street off-ramp.

After exiting his vehicle, Raley-Vincent attempted to walk on the freeway when several vehicles hit him. He died at the scene. Drivers involved remained and cooperated with the investigation.

The crash shut down the westbound connector lanes to eastbound I-580 and southbound I-80 for over two hours as CHP conducted their investigation.
