Woman Identified After Fatal Two-Vehicle Crash on 60 Freeway in Montebello

Montebello, CA (November 14, 2025) — Authorities have identified 45-year-old Erika Martinez of Montebello, as the woman killed in a two-vehicle collision late Wednesday on the eastbound Pomona (60) Freeway in Montebello.

According to authorities, the crash happened around 10:40 p.m. near Atlantic Boulevard and involved an orange Dodge Charger and a Nissan SUV, both of which suffered extensive damage.

CHP officers pronounced Martinez, the SUV’s driver, dead at the scene. Meanwhile, the man behind the wheel of the Charger was transported to a hospital by county fire paramedics, though officials have not released details about his condition.

Eastbound lanes of the freeway were shut down for several hours as investigators worked to determine what led to the crash.
