Hill County, TX (October 02, 2025) — 84-year-old Eugene Aleshire of Whitney lost his life following a two-vehicle crash Tuesday evening in Hill County.

The Texas Department of Public Safety reported that the crash happened around 6:35 p.m. on FM-933 near FM-1713, north of Whitney.

Investigators said a Toyota RAV4 crossed the center line and struck a GMC Sierra, causing the SUV to overturn.

Emergency crews transported both drivers to nearby hospitals. The Toyota driver, identified as Aleshire, later died from his injuries. Authorities have notified his family.

The crash remains under investigation.
