Fabian Guerrero Killed in Tragic Collision on FM 2220 [McAllen, TX]

McAllen, TX (September 22, 2026) — Fabien Diego Guerrero, 31, and his father, Fabian Guerrero, 64, both of McAllen, died after a two-vehicle crash at about 11:38 a.m. Sunday on FM 2220, also known as Ware Road, south of 6 Mile Line and north of McAllen, Texas.

According to the preliminary investigation, Fabien Diego was driving a 2005 Toyota Scion southbound when the vehicle crossed into the northbound lane and collided with a 2026 Cadillac Escalade. Fabien Diego died at the scene, while Fabian was taken to Doctor’s Hospital at Renaissance, where he later died.

The Escalade’s driver and passenger also went to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Texas Department of Public Safety troopers continue to investigate the crash.
