Faith Gonzalez Hurt in Horrific Rollover Crash on North Sugar Road [Edinburg, TX]

Edinburg, TX (March 17, 2025) – 22-year-old Faith Gonzalez was hurt and suffered non-life-threatening injuries after a rollover crash on North Sugar Road.

According to the Edinburg Police Department, the suspected DUI crash happened at about 3:12 a.m. at the 1800 block of North Sugar Road.

Authorities arrested a 21-year-old Juan Carlos Contreras after the rollover crash.

Police responded to the accident and found Gonzalez, who had been ejected from a 1992 Ford Mustang. She sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators identified the driver as Contreras and took him into custody on charges of driving while intoxicated and intoxication assault. Authorities are also investigating whether street racing contributed to the crash and suspect a second vehicle may have been involved.
