2 People Dead in Central Auto Accident on Highway 6 near County Road 105

CENTRAL, TX (October 1, 2025) – Tuesday afternoon, a fatal 18-wheeler crash on Highway 6 near County Road 105 killed two people.

The incident happened at around 12:45 p.m. on Highway 6 near County Road 105.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a passenger car traveling the wrong way collided head-on with a northbound 18-wheeler. Then, the force of the crash pushed the 18-wheeler to rollover and the passenger car erupted into flames after the collision.

Moreover, responders confirmed that two occupants of the passenger car died in the crash. Also, the driver of the 18-wheeler sustained minor injuries in the crash.

Furthermore, the incident closed the northbound and southbound traffic on Highway 6 but has long since reopened.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the DPS continued investigating the crash.
