KIRKWOOD, MO (July 19, 2026) – Saturday morning, a fatal 2-vehicle crash on Interstate 44 near Sappington Road killed one person.

The incident happened at around 12:30 a.m. on Interstate 44 near Sappington Road.

According to reports, a tractor-trailer truck struck a Chevrolet that was stopped in the roadway.

Moreover, responders pronounced a 37-year-old female occupant of the Chevrolet dead at the scene. Then, paramedics transported the driver of the Chevrolet to a hospital with serious injuries. Also, the driver of the truck sustained minor injuries in the crash.

Furthermore, the crash closed Interstate 44 but has long since reopened.
