MADISONVILLE, TX (April 23, 2026) – Monday night, Rosine Kabano was killed in a fatal 2-vehicle crash on Interstate 45 and Mile Marker 140.

The incident happened at around 6:36 p.m. on Interstate 45 and Mile Marker 140.

According to reports, a southbound 2023 Chevrolet pickup towing a trailer struck a southbound 2026 Mitsubishi Eclipse that attempted to make a left turn into an emergency lane.

Moreover, responders pronounced a 16-year-old male passenger of the Eclipse dead at the scene. Then, paramedics airlifted the driver of the Eclipse, identified as 44-year-old Rosine Kabano, to CHI St Joseph Hospital in Bryan, where she was later pronounced dead.

Furthermore, officers confirmed that the driver and passengers of the pickup sustained minor injuries in the crash.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
