1 Person Dead in Audrain Multi-Vehicle Accident on Missouri Highway 22 near Route E

AUDRAIN COUNTY, MO (January 25, 2026) – Thursday morning, a fatal three-vehicle crash on Missouri Highway 22 near Route E killed one person.

The incident happened at around 6:45 a.m. on Missouri Highway 22 near Route E.

According to reports, an eastbound tractor-truck collided head-on with an SUV that was attempting to pass several vehicles. Then, the force of the crash pushed the tractor-trailer truck to rollover and catch fire.

Moreover, responders pronounced the 35-year-old male driver of the SUV, who was ejected into the roadway, dead at the scene. Furthermore, the 46-year-old male driver of the tractor truck and the 56-year-old male driver of tractor trailer truck sustained moderate injuries in the incident.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
