HOUSTON, TX (February 10, 2026) – Sunday night, a fatal bicycle crash on West Airport Road near Hillcroft Avenue killed one person.

The incident happened at around 9:30 p.m. on West Airport Road, just west of Hillcroft Avenue.

Authorities said that a southbound Mercedes SUV struck a southbound bicyclist who was traveling across the roadway outside a marked crossing.

Officers confirmed that the female bicyclist died in the crash.

The driver of the SUV remained at the scene and was not suspected of impairment.
