Fatal DUI Crash near Edinger Avenue and Beach Boulevard Kills 1 [Huntington Beach, CA]

1 Person Dead in Huntington Beach Auto Accident near Edinger Avenue and Beach Boulevard

HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA (August 20, 2025) – Sunday night, a fatal DUI crash near Edinger Avenue and Beach Boulevard killed one person.

The incident happened at around 8:15 p.m. near the intersection of Edinger Avenue and Beach Boulevard.

According to the Huntington Beach Police Department, a westbound Honda Accord crossed he center line and collided head-on with a Lexus RX. Then, the force of the crash pushed one of the vehicles to collide with a Lexus GS.

Moreover, responders rushed a 15-year-old female passenger of the Accord to a hospital, where she was later pronounced dead. Then, paramedics transported the 44-year-old female driver of the Accord with major injuries and her 15-year-old female passenger to a local hospital for treatment.

Furthermore, the two other drivers, a 23-year-old woman from Westminster and a 75-year-old man from Santa Ana, both sustained minor injuries in the crash.

Meanwhile, officers believe that the driver of the Accord was under the influence at the time of the crash.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
