DOLORES, CO (August 4, 2026) – Tuesday morning, a fatal head-on crash on Colorado State Highway 184 near Mile Marker 3 killed two people.

The incident happened at around 8:30 a.m. on Colorado State Highway 184 near Mile Marker 3.

According to reports, an eastbound Dodge pickup truck swerved into the westbound lanes and collided head-on with a recreational vehicle.

Moreover, officers confirmed that the 84-year-old male driver of the Dodge and the 49-year-old male driver of the RV both died in the crash.

Furthermore, the crash closed both directions of Colorado State Highway 184 but has long since reopened.
