1 Person Dead in Canyon County Traffic Accident on Sierra Highway near Vasquez Canyon Road

CANYON COUNTY, CA (October 30, 2025) – Wednesday morning, a fatal head-on crash on Sierra Highway near Vasquez Canyon Road killed one person.

The incident happened at around 5:30 a.m. on Sierra Highway, just north of Vasquez Canyon Road.

According to the California Highway Patrol, two Ford Mustangs collided head-on in the area for still unknown reasons.

Moreover, responders pronounced one person dead at the scene. Then, paramedics transported one person to Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital with unknown injuries.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the CHP continued investigating the crash.
