HOUSTON, TX (December 18, 2024) – Monday night, a fatal hit-and-run crash on Westheimer Road near 610 West Loop killed one person.

The incident happened at around 10:30 p.m. at the 4700 block of Westheimer Road, near the 610 West Loop.

According to reports, a vehicle struck a man on a scooter and then fled the scene without stopping to provide aid.

Moreover, responders rushed the man, believed to be homeless, to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
